Artists: Daniel Batalla, Gustavo Serra
Daniel Batalla & Gustavo Serra: The Path of the School of the South is an exhibition of two artists' works who were heavily inspired and instructed by those associated with a movement conceived by Joaquín Torres-García. After Torres-García spent 43 years abroad in the early 1900s, he learned a great deal about modern art and brought back concepts to Uruguay and Argentina. This later culminated in the Taller School, better known as the School of the South.
